Bitget has marked its 7th anniversary by launching what it calls the Bitget universal exchange concept, positioning itself as the first global platform to unify centralized and decentralized services under one framework. The announcement, made on September 17, comes amid a wave of industry efforts to expand beyond cryptocurrency into traditional finance.
The Bitget universal exchange concept was first introduced in a letter to the community by CEO Gracy Chen. She described it as the next stage in the exchange’s evolution, aiming to break the so-called “impossible triangle” of user experience, asset variety, and security.
“Our growth over the past seven years is based on a methodical approach used to build an infrastructure that serves the evolving needs of traders, investors, and institutions,” — Gracy Chen, CEO, Bitget.

Expanding beyond crypto
The Bitget universal exchange concept reflects a shift from crypto-only services to a broader financial ecosystem. In the third quarter of 2025, Bitget Onchain added full support for Ethereum, BSC, Base, and Solana assets. Partnerships with xStocks and Ondo have expanded access to tokenized stocks and ETFs, while the exchange also launched its first stock futures contracts for Apple (AAPL) and Nvidia (NVDA).
Chen emphasized that this model aims to support not just cryptocurrencies, but all tradable assets, including stocks, ETFs, gold, and forex. “We’re shifting towards providing easier access and clean integration of emerging finance into our daily lives,” — Gracy Chen, CEO, Bitget.
By embedding AI tools such as its proprietary GetAgent, the Bitget universal exchange concept is designed to deliver actionable insights, customized trading strategies, and continuous automated execution. The AI-driven suite, paired with automated bots, aims to reduce barriers between analysis and decision-making for users.
Strengthening security and compliance
Security remains central to the Bitget universal exchange concept. The exchange is integrating intelligent monitoring systems to identify risks such as token concentration and potential rug-pull schemes. Its User Protection Fund, now valued at more than $700 million, provides an added layer of assurance for traders navigating volatile markets.
In addition, Bitget has invested heavily in regulatory compliance. In 2025, the platform secured approvals in Italy, Poland, Lithuania, Czechia, El Salvador, Argentina, Bulgaria, and Georgia. A compliance team of over 70 specialists works directly with regulators to establish sustainable frameworks that balance market growth with investor protection.
Global reach and cultural footprint
Beyond finance, the Bitget universal exchange concept is supported by extensive partnerships across sports and culture. Collaborations with Lionel Messi, Juventus FC, LaLiga, MotoGP, and the UNTOLD music festival have expanded its mainstream presence.
Educational efforts such as Blockchain4Youth and Blockchain4Her have engaged more than 15,000 students across 60 universities worldwide, while a UNICEF partnership aims to bring blockchain education to over one million people by 2027.
The anniversary celebration, branded “Gear Up to 7,” underscores these ambitions. Events include a #GearUpTo7 Sprint Challenge with a $400,000 prize pool, MotoGP parades, an anniversary anthem by influencer Lil Bubble, and the launch of Bitget’s Smart Awards recognizing leading traders.
Since its founding in 2018, Bitget has grown to serve more than 120 million users across 150 countries. The adoption of the Bitget universal exchange concept signals its intention to anchor the next phase of financial integration, blending crypto innovation with traditional markets while prioritizing accessibility and trust.
