Fasset, a stablecoin-powered neobank, raised $68 million in a Series C round led by Japan’s SBI Group, pushing its valuation to $1 billion just three months after closing a $51 million Series B, bringing its total raised in 2026 alone to $119 million.
The latest financing comes less than three months after that previous round, highlighting the unusually rapid pace of capital flowing into Fasset as it expands its cross-border financial infrastructure.
Stablecoin-powered Neobank delivers a powerful funding surge
The new funding is expected to accelerate Fasset’s expansion of Own Network, its regulated financial infrastructure connecting banks, telecommunications companies, payment providers and liquidity partners across international markets.
The stablecoin-powered neobank also plans to increase investment in AI-enabled systems designed to support corridor banking, stablecoin settlement and tokenized assets.
That strategy puts Fasset at the intersection of three fast-growing financial trends: stablecoins, artificial intelligence and tokenization.
Fasset says its platform now serves more than 3 million wallets and over 1,000 enterprises across 125 countries, while annualized transaction volume has climbed above $40 billion.
Stablecoin-powered Neobank targets global payment friction
The bigger opportunity for the stablecoin-powered neobank is cross-border money movement.
Traditional international transfers can involve multiple intermediaries, fragmented banking networks and lengthy settlement processes.
Fasset is attempting to use regulated infrastructure, stablecoins and AI-driven routing to make those flows faster and more efficient.
The company already has a strategic relationship with SBI Remit, SBI Group’s international money-transfer business.
The partnership is designed to combine SBI Remit’s global remittance reach with Fasset’s Own Network and stablecoin infrastructure.
SBI Remit said the collaboration could help create infrastructure for payments, settlement and financial services across previously underserved markets.
For the stablecoin-powered neobank, that relationship could become one of its most important competitive advantages as it attempts to scale beyond individual crypto users and into mainstream financial services.
Neobank gets a major institutional vote
SBI’s involvement is particularly significant because the Japanese financial group already has an extensive digital-asset investment portfolio, including exposure to companies such as Ripple, Circle and Morpho, alongside its ownership of crypto liquidity provider B2C2.
Yoshitaka Kitao, chairman, president and CEO of SBI Holdings, said the investment reflects a broader ambition to connect Japan with high-growth markets and develop international remittance and settlement infrastructure built around stablecoins.
That institutional backing gives the stablecoin-powered neobank a powerful credibility boost at a time when banks and financial institutions worldwide are increasingly exploring tokenized money and blockchain-based settlement.
Stablecoin-powered Neobank doubles down on AI
Fasset CEO and co-founder Mohammad Raafi Hossain said the company’s next phase centers on “any-to-any banking” and removing geographical barriers to financial access.
The stablecoin-powered neobank says it has also been profitable for 12 consecutive months, while revenue has grown more than sixfold year over year. However, Fasset has not disclosed absolute revenue or profit figures.
That makes the unicorn valuation an especially important milestone. Investors are not simply betting on another crypto wallet; they are backing an infrastructure play designed to connect banking, stablecoins, payments and tokenized assets.
Stablecoin-powered Neobank faces a bigger test ahead
The stablecoin-powered neobank boom is gathering momentum, but Fasset’s $1 billion valuation also raises the stakes.
Its next challenge will be converting rapid funding and impressive transaction volumes into durable global adoption while navigating different regulatory regimes across numerous markets.
For now, however, Fasset has delivered a striking milestone. The stablecoin-powered neobank has gone from a $51 million Series B in May to a $68 million Series C and a $1 billion valuation in August.
The message from SBI is equally clear: stablecoins are increasingly being viewed not merely as crypto assets, but as potential rails for the next generation of international payments.
