Bitget has launched a Visa-backed debit card across selected Asia-Pacific markets, allowing users to spend cryptocurrency at any Visa-accepting merchant through automatic fiat conversion at point of sale, with cashback of up to 20% positioning it as one of the more aggressive incentive structures in the crypto card market.

A Frictionless Crypto Payment Experience

At launch, the Bitget Card is available as a virtual card for users across APAC, with a physical version expected in the near future. The card enables holders to spend crypto at any merchant that accepts Visa, automatically converting digital assets into fiat currency at the point of sale.

This approach eliminates the need for manual off-ramping, which has long been a barrier to crypto usability. Transactions made with the Bitget Card are processed instantly, offering a user experience indistinguishable from conventional debit or credit cards.

According to Joan Han, Chief Operating Officer at DCS and DeCard, ecosystem collaboration is critical to unlocking real-world crypto utility.
“Partnerships across the ecosystem are key to bringing digital assets into everyday payments,” Han said. “By combining Bitget’s ecosystem with DCS’s issuing infrastructure and Visa’s global acceptance network, the Bitget Card enables users to move from crypto holdings to everyday spending through a familiar card experience.”

The Bitget Card thus removes complexity from crypto transactions, allowing users to spend without needing to think about exchange rates, wallets, or conversion processes.

Rewards and Global Usability Drive Adoption

Beyond convenience, the Bitget Card is entering the market with aggressive incentives aimed at accelerating adoption. Users can access up to 20% cashback on eligible purchases, capped at $800, making the Bitget Card one of the most competitive crypto-linked payment products currently available in the APAC region.

Low foreign exchange fees further enhance its appeal, particularly for globally mobile users who require cost-efficient cross-border payment solutions. The Bitget Card is built for international usability, ensuring that users can transact seamlessly regardless of location.

Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, emphasized that simplifying the user experience is central to driving adoption.

“For crypto to become truly mainstream, it can’t ask people to constantly think about it,” Chen said. “It should operate quietly in the background while people go about living their lives. Bitget Card reflects the shift where crypto becomes infrastructure, not an interruption.”

This philosophy underpins the design of the Bitget Card, positioning it less as a crypto tool and more as a standard financial instrument powered by digital assets.

Aligning With the Universal Exchange Vision

The launch of the Bitget Card aligns closely with Bitget’s broader Universal Exchange (UEX) strategy, which seeks to unify crypto, derivatives, and tokenized traditional assets within a single ecosystem.

By extending this ecosystem into payments, the Bitget Card transforms passive holdings into active financial resources. Users can move fluidly between trading, investing, and spending without switching platforms or financial contexts.

Additional perks for VIP users include higher cashback rebates and complimentary physical card issuance once available, reinforcing the Bitget Card as both a utility and a premium financial product.

Adeline Kim, Country Manager for Singapore & Brunei at Visa, highlighted the growing demand for such solutions.

“As digital assets become more widely held, consumers increasingly expect simple and reliable ways to use that value in everyday life,” Kim said. “The Bitget Card reflects how payments are evolving, enabling a seamless move from digital assets to everyday spending through a familiar Visa card experience, at scale and across borders.”

The Bitget Card effectively brings Bitget’s trading ecosystem into daily financial behavior, reinforcing its ambition to serve as a comprehensive financial platform.

What Comes Next for Bitget Card

Looking ahead, Bitget plans to expand the Bitget Card’s feature set significantly. Upcoming enhancements include premium physical card designs, fee-free ATM withdrawals of up to $100 per month, and access to a global network of airport lounges.

These additions position the Bitget Card not just as a payment tool, but as a lifestyle product tailored for frequent travelers and high-value users.

As financial systems continue to converge, the distinction between crypto and traditional finance is becoming increasingly blurred. The Bitget Card embodies this transition, offering a practical use case where digital assets are no longer speculative instruments but functional components of everyday financial life.

With the Bitget Card now live in APAC markets, the industry may be witnessing a critical inflection point—one where crypto quietly integrates into the background of global commerce, reshaping how value moves across borders and into daily transactions.
