Crypto exchange Bitget will print selected job applicants’ resumes and portfolios directly onto pizza boxes and deliver them to crypto firms and ecosystem partners as part of a Bitcoin Pizza Day recruitment campaign launching later this month.

The initiative, called “Boxed for Opportunity,” will see selected resumes and portfolios printed directly onto pizza boxes before being delivered to crypto firms, ecosystem partners, and industry stakeholders. The campaign is part of Bitget’s broader Blockchain4Youth program, which focuses on blockchain education and career development.

The move gives Bitcoin Pizza Day a different angle this year, shifting attention from crypto nostalgia toward hiring and industry access.

Bitget uses Bitcoin pizza day to spotlight web3 talent

Bitcoin Pizza Day commemorates May 22, 2010, when programmer Laszlo Hanyecz spent 10,000 BTC on two pizzas in what became the first widely recognized real-world bitcoin transaction.

Bitget said the campaign is designed to use that historic moment as a way to help emerging Web3 professionals gain visibility inside the crypto industry.

Under the program, applicants can submit resumes, portfolios, technical work, creative projects, and other materials showing blockchain-related experience. Selected entries will then appear on branded pizza boxes distributed to participating companies and partners.

“The focus is not only education anymore. It is about creating direct access to opportunities,” the company said in campaign materials released ahead of Bitcoin Pizza Day.

The exchange added that the campaign aims to help talented candidates who often struggle to gain visibility through traditional online recruitment channels.

Blockchain4Youth expands beyond education

The Bitcoin Pizza Day initiative also marks the third anniversary of Blockchain4Youth, Bitget’s global blockchain education program.

According to the company, the initiative has reached more than 15,000 participants worldwide, worked with over 70 universities, and hosted more than 100 campus events focused on blockchain awareness and Web3 career development.

Bitget said the latest Bitcoin Pizza Day campaign represents the next stage of that effort by moving beyond training and into direct industry exposure.

Participants are asked to provide their background, experience, preferred regions, and examples of work tied to blockchain, crypto, or digital communities.

The company said selected candidates may also receive additional visibility through regional crypto influencers and partner networks connected to Bitget’s Talent Alliance initiative.

Partners linked to the broader program include Bondex, Morph Network, and Foresight Ventures.

Physical delivery strategy targets attention

Bitget’s use of physical pizza boxes stands out in an industry where recruitment is largely handled through digital applications and social media outreach.

The exchange believes the format could help candidates attract attention more effectively than standard resumes sent through email or online forms.

The campaign also ties directly into the symbolism of Bitcoin Pizza Day, one of the most recognized dates in crypto culture.

While many exchanges typically celebrate the event through trading promotions or giveaways, Bitget is positioning this year’s Bitcoin Pizza Day campaign as a community and talent-focused initiative.

The company has not disclosed how many resumes will ultimately be selected for the campaign.

Competition for web3 talent continues to grow

The launch comes as crypto companies continue competing for developers, analysts, marketers, designers, and blockchain engineers despite broader market volatility.

Industry hiring demand has increasingly shifted toward candidates with practical blockchain experience, especially in sectors tied to decentralized finance, artificial intelligence, tokenization, and infrastructure development.

Bitget said the Bitcoin Pizza Day campaign is intended to help bridge the gap between young crypto-native talent and companies actively building in the sector.

The exchange currently serves more than 125 million users globally and has continued expanding beyond crypto trading into tokenized assets, ETFs, commodities, and digital financial products.

According to Bitget CEO Gracy Chen, initiatives tied to education and onboarding remain important for the long-term growth of the blockchain sector.

“Web3 adoption depends not only on technology, but also on giving young builders opportunities to participate directly in the ecosystem,” Chen previously said while discussing Blockchain4Youth initiatives.

Bitcoin pizza day remains a major crypto event

Bitcoin Pizza Day continues to attract widespread attention across the crypto industry each year because it represents one of bitcoin’s earliest real-world use cases.

The transaction involving 10,000 BTC has become symbolic of how far the digital asset market has evolved since bitcoin’s early days.

At current market prices, the coins used in the original purchase would now be valued at hundreds of millions of dollars.

That history has helped Bitcoin Pizza Day evolve into both a cultural event and a marketing opportunity for crypto firms worldwide.

For Bitget, this year’s Bitcoin Pizza Day campaign is aimed less at celebrating the past and more at connecting blockchain talent with future opportunities inside the industry.

The exchange said additional details about the campaign and application process are available through its official platform ahead of the Bitcoin Pizza Day celebrations later this month.
