Cryptocurrency investor Harry Chun Tak Yeh was found dead on August 7, 2026, at the base of the Jade Park luxury residential complex in Asunción, Paraguay, after falling from around the 30th floor, according to Paraguayan outlet La Tribuna.
Police received a 911 call at about 4:30 a.m., according to Paraguayan media, and investigators are examining the condition of an apartment associated with Yeh as they seek to establish what happened before his death.
Yeh was reportedly found naked and covered with a black plastic bag, roughly 100 metres below the apartment. Authorities have not determined how he came to fall from the building and have not ruled out an accident, suicide or the involvement of another person.
The circumstances have made Harry Yeh Paraguay a case of particular interest, although Paraguayan authorities have yet to publicly establish that another individual was involved.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no official conclusion has been issued regarding the cause or manner of Yeh’s death.
As part of the Harry Yeh Paraguay investigation, prosecutor María del Carmen Palazón visited the 30th-floor apartment with officers from Paraguay’s Criminalistics and Homicide units, according to local reports.
Investigators reportedly found the apartment’s doors open and the interior in disarray. No one was found inside when officers arrived. Authorities collected evidence from the apartment as well as from the area where Yeh’s body was discovered before sending his remains to the Judicial Morgue for an autopsy and forensic examination.
Police chief Abel Cantero told La Tribuna that investigators were examining two apartments connected to Yeh, located on the 27th and 30th floors.

The condition of the 30th-floor apartment has become a central element of the Harry Yeh Paraguay inquiry. However, authorities have not publicly confirmed whether the disorder was the result of a struggle, a forced entry or another event.
Police are also attempting to reconstruct Yeh’s movements inside the building before the fatal fall.
Investigators also visited the 27th-floor apartment, where Yeh’s 29-year-old Brazilian partner, Isadora de Proenca Braganholo Carvalho, lived, according to local media reports.
Carvalho reportedly told authorities that she did not know what had happened. Police have not publicly accused her of wrongdoing, and there has been no official statement indicating that she is a suspect in the Harry Yeh Paraguay investigation.
Authorities have also not disclosed whether forensic teams found evidence indicating that another person had been inside either apartment before Yeh’s death.
The investigation is therefore focused on reconstructing the sequence of events rather than assigning responsibility. Key questions include Yeh’s movements before the fall, the condition of the apartment and whether anything occurred inside the building before he reached the point from which he fell.
The autopsy and forensic examination are expected to provide investigators with additional information.
The Harry Yeh Paraguay investigation has also drawn renewed attention to Yeh’s background in the cryptocurrency industry.
Yeh, whose full name was Harry Chun Tak Yeh, described himself as an early Bitcoin investor. According to his biography, he entered the market in 2013, when Bitcoin was trading at approximately $60.
He subsequently founded Quantum Fintech Group, beginning with a $250,000 fund, according to the biography. The firm described itself as an investment manager and trading operation focused on digital assets and blockchain projects.
Quantum Fintech Group and Yeh’s personal website have claimed that he oversaw more than $2 billion in digital-asset investments. Quantum has cited a figure exceeding $2.4 billion. Those figures were self-reported and have not been independently verified.
Yeh also had ties to the Fantom and decentralized-finance sectors. His biography identifies him as a founder and seed investor in LIF3 and L3 Reserve, while his investment history included Tomb Finance and other blockchain projects.
A 2024 due-diligence report on LIF3 identified Yeh as its principal investor and managing director of Quantum Fintech Group. His biography also cited an engineering background and previous experience in technology and finance.
Those activities established Yeh as a recognizable figure among some cryptocurrency investors, founders and blockchain projects.
Forensic findings will be important to the Harry Yeh Paraguay investigation as authorities attempt to determine whether the injuries documented during the examination are consistent solely with the fall or suggest that something happened beforehand.
At present, Paraguayan authorities have established that Yeh fell from the Jade Park building and died at the scene. They have not publicly established why he fell or what occurred inside the building before his death.
The Harry Yeh Paraguay case has therefore not been formally resolved as an accident, suicide or homicide. Investigators are continuing to examine evidence from the 27th- and 30th-floor apartments, the scene where Yeh’s body was found and the results of the forensic examination.
No official finding has linked another person to the fatal fall.
The investigation will ultimately depend on whether the physical evidence, forensic results and witness accounts can establish a coherent timeline leading up to Yeh’s death. Until those findings are released, the circumstances surrounding the Harry Yeh Paraguay case remain unresolved.
For now, authorities are continuing to investigate the death while awaiting forensic findings that could clarify what happened inside the Jade Park complex before the fall.
