These Polygon-Based NFT Tickets will be minted on the Polygon blockchain, selected for its scalability, low gas fees, and environmentally sustainable operations.
Alok Gupta, CEO of Chaincode Consulting, emphasized the transformative impact of this initiative. “By partnering with IRCTC and leveraging the Polygon blockchain, we are enabling a digital-first experience that complements the spiritual and traditional significance of the MahaKumbh while introducing a new level of engagement through NFTs,” Gupta said.
The tickets, accessible via the NFTtrace platform, will allow millions of pilgrims to book their journey securely and efficiently. Each NFT will serve as a verifiable and immutable record, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Polygon has become a go-to blockchain for various enterprises due to its robust infrastructure and user-friendly interface. Known for its faster transaction speeds and lower costs, the platform was an obvious choice for this large-scale event.
