South Korean software firm TmaxSoft has unveiled Continuum AI, a four-product enterprise platform that adds AI to legacy systems instead of replacing them, with commercial rollout planned from the first half of 2027.

AI Festa 2026 offers a useful view of how companies are moving from generative AI experimentation toward systems capable of performing business tasks across existing corporate environments.

AI Festa 2026 puts enterprise AI in focus

The announcement came as AI Festa 2026 opened at COEX in Seoul, bringing together companies and technology providers showcasing developments across the artificial intelligence sector.

The event runs from October 6 to October 8 and is positioned as a major business-focused AI exhibition covering areas ranging from AI infrastructure and semiconductors to agentic AI, physical AI and enterprise applications.

For TmaxSoft, AI Festa 2026 provided a platform to move its enterprise AI strategy beyond a broad concept and toward a defined commercial product portfolio.

Continuum AI is intended to provide companies with a full-stack environment covering the different stages of enterprise technology management rather than concentrating on a single AI application.

The company said the platform is designed to address several areas of corporate IT, including application development, analysis of existing assets, modernization of legacy systems and operational automation.

TmaxSoft’s strategy also includes incorporating AI capabilities into existing products, allowing customers to expand their use of artificial intelligence without necessarily replacing established systems.

Continuum AI targets the full enterprise technology stack

At the center of the announcement is Continuum AI, which TmaxSoft describes as a next-generation enterprise AI business framework. The platform consists of four principal product areas, each aimed at a different part of the enterprise technology lifecycle.

Enterprise Manager is designed to support IT operations automation. Business Framework is focused on enterprise AI application development, while Code Intelligence is intended to improve code analysis and development productivity.

Application Transform, meanwhile, is designed to help companies analyze and modernize legacy applications.

The company plans to introduce the products sequentially beginning in the first half of 2027. Some of the technology is already being incorporated into existing products.

According to the announcement, TmaxSoft’s ProObject development framework has received a code-assistant capability, while Application Transform is being enhanced with AI functions for analyzing older systems.

Proof-of-concept and pilot projects are also being conducted at enterprise sites, with financial-sector projects in South Korea among the areas where the technology is being validated.

The company said demand is emerging among financial institutions seeking to add AI capabilities to existing applications rather than completely rebuild their technology environments.

TmaxSoft CEO Lee Hyung-yong said the company wants to connect AI technology more directly with measurable business outcomes.

“We will realize enterprise AI innovation that connects AI technology to practical business results through Continuum AI.” — Lee Hyung-yong, CEO, TmaxSoft.

AI Festa 2026 highlights the shift toward agentic AI

A major theme surrounding AI Festa 2026 is the transition from generative AI toward agentic systems capable of planning and executing tasks.

TmaxSoft Research Institute head Park Ki-eun addressed that development during the event, outlining the progression of AI agents from individual task-based systems toward workflow-oriented and cross-application agents.

According to the company, task-oriented agents are designed to respond to individual requests. Workflow agents can operate according to predefined business processes, while cross-application agents can interact with multiple systems to complete broader objectives.

However, TmaxSoft also emphasized that greater autonomy creates additional requirements around accountability and oversight.

AI-generated actions and code can introduce errors or vulnerabilities, meaning enterprises need mechanisms for reviewing decisions, controlling important operations and correcting failures.

Park argued that enterprise deployment therefore requires more than simply adding AI agents to existing software.

The success or failure of enterprise AI hinges not on merely adopting AI agents, but on connecting them to core business systems and establishing reliability and control frameworks, says Park Ki-eun, head of the Research Institute, TmaxSoft.

What AI Festa 2026 means for the enterprise AI market

The developments presented at AI Festa 2026 point to a change in the enterprise software market. AI companies are increasingly competing not only on model performance but also on their ability to integrate artificial intelligence with existing databases, applications, infrastructure and operational processes.

TmaxSoft is positioning Continuum AI around that integration challenge. Instead of treating AI as a standalone tool, the company intends to use the platform as a connection point between enterprise systems, AI technologies and supporting services.

The company’s strategy follows its move into independent management after separating completely from Tmax Group at the end of 2024.

Since then, TmaxSoft has placed greater emphasis on an AI-centered growth strategy and the development of an enterprise AI software ecosystem.

AI Festa 2026 is less about cryptocurrency itself and more about the continued expansion of the AI infrastructure narrative.

AI development increasingly intersects with cloud computing, semiconductors, data infrastructure, automation and enterprise software. Companies that can translate AI capabilities into reliable commercial products may therefore become important participants in the broader technology investment landscape.

Still, the planned 2027 commercialization of Continuum AI means its commercial performance remains ahead. Investors should distinguish between a technology demonstration, proof-of-concept adoption and sustained revenue generation when assessing the platform’s potential.

TmaxSoft’s immediate objective is clear: establish Continuum AI as an enterprise platform capable of connecting development, modernization and operations while giving businesses greater control over increasingly autonomous AI systems.
