Solana institutional adoption is gaining momentum as the network emerges as a backbone for real world asset (RWA) tokenization according to a new report from RedStone.
The report published on Monday September 29, reveals that Solana now hosts over $700 million in RWA assets and more than $13.5 billion when factoring in stablecoins.
The surge in Solana institutional adoption has led to a 500% year over year increase in tokenized assets positioning the network as one of the largest in the sector.
With integrations such as xStocks tokenized equity trading volumes on Solana have already surpassed those of Ethereum showing how institutional demand is rapidly shifting.
RedStone attributes much of this momentum to Solana’s performance advantages. The network’s ability to handle up to 100,000 transactions per second makes it a natural hub for RWA platforms that require high throughput and low costs. Institutional investors see these attributes as critical, driving further Solana institutional adoption across global markets.
Robert Leshner, CEO of Superstate, underscored this point:
“For RWAs, there are really only two places: It’s either Ethereum or Solana.”
His comment highlights how the competition increasingly centers on Solana institutional adoption as a defining force in blockchain finance.
Major financial institutions such as BlackRock, Apollo Global, Janus Henderson, and VanEck are already engaging with the ecosystem. This wave of Solana institutional adoption complements the presence of retail focused apps like Phantom, Raydium, Jupiter and Pump.fun creating a broad base of activity on the network.
By combining strong infrastructure with active partnerships such as Kraken’s integration for fast and low cost transfers Solana institutional adoption is accelerating at a pace that could reshape blockchain based capital markets. With both traditional finance giants and Web3 native platforms turning to Solana, its position as a key hub for tokenization looks increasingly secure.
