Tonkeeper becomes Keeper, expanding from a single TON wallet into seven blockchain networks

Tonkeeper is no longer just a TON wallet. The company announced on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, that it’s rebranding to Keeper, adding support for six additional blockchain networks on top of its original TON base.

Keeper’s own product listing confirms the full Keeper wallet lineup: Bitcoin, BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, and TRON now sit alongside TON, seven networks in total under one app and one recovery phrase.

What the Keeper wallet rebrand actually changes

For years, Tonkeeper built its reputation as a leading self-custodial wallet inside the TON ecosystem. That single-chain focus is exactly what’s changing. Andrew Rogozov, founder and CEO of The Open Platform, the company now running Tonkeeper’s operations, described the move as pushing the wallet’s trademark simplicity “beyond TON and into the broader crypto economy.” The bigger goal he laid out is a single self-custodial app people can use to manage assets across any chain they hold, rather than juggling separate wallets per network.

Existing users aren’t starting over. Keeper’s own listing confirms accounts, balances, and recovery phrases carry over untouched, with the new networks simply switched on inside the same app rather than requiring a fresh install or a new backup process.

Behind the TOP takeover

The rebrand lands a little over a month after a leadership change that set the stage for it. The Open Platform confirmed on its own site in early August that its team had taken the lead on Tonkeeper’s operational management, with Oleg Andreev stepping down from his role as director to start a new, separate project.

TOP had previously said it intended to buy out the two co-founders’ remaining shares, but that acquisition still hasn’t closed, meaning the underlying ownership structure has not actually changed even as TOP now runs day-to-day operations.

TOP isn’t new to the TON ecosystem. Rogozov, a former VK.com CEO who scaled that platform for seven years before pivoting to crypto, built TOP into what became the TON ecosystem’s first unicorn, backing projects like Wallet in Telegram and the NFT marketplace Getgems well before it stepped in to run Tonkeeper.

Battery and the bigger multichain bet

One feature carrying over unchanged in the Keeper wallet is Battery, Tonkeeper’s gasless transaction system, which lets users pay network fees without needing to hold each chain’s native gas token first. Under Keeper, that same mechanism is being extended across the new networks, so a user holding only USDT on TRON, for instance, wouldn’t need TRX sitting in their wallet just to move it.

Battery is only the starting point for what TOP has planned. Over the next year, the company says it intends to extend that same gasless mechanism to every supported chain, while also building out native DeFi services, tools for everyday spending, one-tap swaps between chains, and a browser for interacting with decentralized apps directly inside Keeper.
