Ripple has warned users that it operates no official Telegram channel, clarifying that any account claiming Ripple affiliation on the platform is fraudulent.

The warning comes as scammers increasingly impersonate company representatives and executives—including Brad Garlinghouse—to lure investors into fake giveaways and wallet-draining schemes.

RippleX emphasized that legitimate Ripple communications will never request sensitive information or funds through unofficial channels.

How the Scam Is Being Executed

The Ripple Telegram Scam typically begins with fake accounts reaching out to users directly or posting in public groups. These accounts often mimic official branding, using logos, names, and even images of executives like Brad Garlinghouse to appear legitimate.

Victims are then encouraged to share personal information, connect crypto wallets, or send funds under the guise of investment opportunities or account verification. In some cases, the Ripple Telegram Scam involves fake giveaways promising to double or multiply users’ crypto holdings.

Ripple has made it clear that it will never initiate contact through unofficial channels or request sensitive information—key red flags users should watch for when navigating the Ripple Telegram Scam landscape.

“Any Telegram account claiming to represent Ripple is not legitimate,” the company emphasized, urging users to remain cautious.

Social Media Amplifies the Threat

The Ripple Telegram Scam is not limited to messaging apps. Fraudsters are increasingly leveraging platforms like X, Facebook, and Instagram to expand their reach.

Scammers often repurpose legitimate video clips from interviews or public appearances featuring Ripple executives. These videos are edited to include misleading captions or links directing users to fraudulent websites tied to the Ripple Telegram Scam.

By combining authentic-looking content with deceptive messaging, attackers are able to build trust quickly making the Ripple Telegram Scam particularly effective against less experienced users.

Fake Giveaways and Wallet Drains

One of the most common tactics in the Ripple Telegram Scam involves fake cryptocurrency giveaways. These schemes promise users free XRP or other rewards in exchange for sending a smaller amount of crypto to a specified wallet address.

Once funds are transferred, victims receive nothing in return.

RippleX has specifically flagged these giveaway scams as a major concern, noting that fraudsters frequently exploit the company’s branding to create a false sense of credibility. The Ripple Telegram Scam thrives on urgency and excitement, pushing users to act quickly without verifying authenticity.

Security experts warn that such scams are part of a broader trend in crypto fraud, where social engineering techniques are used to bypass technical safeguards.

XRP Network Growth Draws More Attention

The surge in Ripple Telegram Scam activity comes at a time when the XRP Ledger is experiencing significant growth.

Ripple Telegram Scam

According to data from Santiment, the number of XRP holders has reached a new all-time high. More than 7.7 million wallets now hold XRP, reflecting increasing adoption across different user segments.

A record 5.66 million wallets hold less than 100 XRP, while over 2 million wallets contain between 100 and 100,000 XRP. Additionally, more than 32,000 wallets hold balances exceeding 100,000 XRP.

This expanding user base makes the ecosystem an attractive target for scammers. As more participants enter the market, the Ripple Telegram Scam finds a larger pool of potential victims.

Regulatory Clarity Adds Momentum

The timing of the Ripple Telegram Scam surge also coincides with positive regulatory developments for XRP.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission recently provided further clarity on how cryptocurrencies will be classified, with many mature tokens—including XRP—being recognized as non-securities in certain contexts.

This regulatory progress has boosted confidence in the XRP ecosystem, contributing to increased activity and visibility. However, it has also inadvertently created opportunities for scammers to exploit renewed interest through tactics like the Ripple Telegram Scam.

Staying Safe in a Growing Ecosystem

Ripple is urging users to verify all communications through official channels and remain vigilant against unsolicited messages. The company stresses that legitimate opportunities will never require upfront payments or sensitive information.

Ripple Telegram Scam

Users are advised to double-check URLs, avoid clicking on unknown links, and ignore any offers that seem too good to be true—common characteristics of the Ripple Telegram Scam.

As the crypto industry continues to expand, education and awareness remain critical defenses against fraud.

The rise of the Ripple Telegram Scam highlights a persistent challenge in the digital asset space: as adoption grows, so do the risks.

While Ripple and its ecosystem continue to gain traction, the parallel increase in scam activity underscores the need for constant vigilance. For users, the message is clear trust must be earned, not assumed.

In an environment where impersonation is easy and transactions are irreversible, avoiding schemes like the Ripple Telegram Scam is not just about caution it’s essential for protecting assets.
