Bitget has launched the UEX Futures League, a two-month trading competition offering 240,000 USDT in combined prizes across crypto futures and CFD stages, with top teams advancing to an invite-only finals event at an undisclosed location.
Announced on Wednesday, the UEX Futures League spans two months and features separate crypto futures and CFD trading stages, with the top-performing teams advancing to the invitation-only UEX Global Alpha Tournament (GAT).
The initiative aims to reflect the growing trend of traders moving between multiple asset classes while competing through a single account and tournament structure.
UEX Futures League combines crypto and traditional markets
The UEX Futures League marks a departure from conventional trading competitions, which typically focus on a single asset class such as cryptocurrencies, foreign exchange, or contracts for difference (CFDs).
According to Bitget, the competition has been structured to mirror the way many traders now operate, shifting between cryptocurrencies, commodities, indices, currencies, and other financial instruments as market opportunities emerge.
Instead of requiring participants to join separate contests for different markets, the UEX Futures League allows traders to compete across multiple asset classes within one unified ecosystem.
The tournament begins with a Crypto Futures stage running from June 1 to June 30, followed by a CFD stage scheduled from July 1 to July 31. Each phase offers a prize pool of 120,000 USDT and follows a captain-led team format in which participants compete based on return on investment (ROI) while representing their respective teams.
At the conclusion of both stages, the top eight teams from each competition will earn places in the UEX Global Alpha Tournament.
UEX Futures League emphasizes teamwork and community
Bitget says the UEX Futures League has been designed not only to reward trading performance but also to encourage collaboration among participants.
Rather than focusing solely on individual rankings, the competition incorporates a team-based structure intended to foster interaction and community participation within the trading ecosystem.
“Trading has always been competitive, but it’s also one of the most social parts of our industry,” — Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget.
Chen said the company believes the tournament creates a more engaging experience by combining competition with teamwork.
“The UEX Futures League brings those elements together by turning trading into a team experience where users can collaborate and represent their communities,” — Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget.
She added that integrating cryptocurrency and traditional financial markets into one competition reflects how modern traders increasingly diversify across different asset classes.
“By bringing crypto and traditional markets into a single competition, we’re creating something that’s not just about performance, but about the people and connection that make trading so engaging,” — Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget.
UEX Global Alpha Tournament crowns top performers
The UEX Futures League will culminate in the UEX Global Alpha Tournament, an invitation-only championship designed to bring the highest-performing teams together in a live competition.
According to Bitget, 16 qualifying teams eight from the Crypto Futures stage and eight from the CFD stage will advance to the finals. Each team will be represented by its three highest-performing traders.
Finalists will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to a secret destination, where they will participate in a series of live trading rounds for the tournament’s grand prize.
By transitioning from online qualification to an in-person championship, Bitget says the competition introduces an esports-inspired format to financial trading while maintaining a focus on real-market participation.
The live event is intended to showcase both individual trading ability and team coordination under competitive conditions.
UEX Futures League reflects Bitget’s broader trading strategy
Beyond the tournament itself, Bitget says the UEX Futures League serves as a demonstration of its broader Universal Exchange (UEX) vision.
The company aims to provide traders with access to multiple global financial markets including cryptocurrencies, commodities, foreign exchange products, and indices within a unified trading environment.
Rather than relying on educational demonstrations or simulated trading experiences, Bitget said the competition enables participants to gain exposure to multiple markets through active trading.
The company believes this structure better reflects today’s financial landscape, where market participants increasingly diversify across different asset classes instead of concentrating on a single market.
As cross-asset investing continues to gain traction globally, the UEX Futures League represents Bitget’s effort to align competitive trading with evolving investor behavior. By combining crypto futures, CFDs, team competition, and a live championship event, the initiative seeks to offer participants a single pathway through multiple markets while highlighting the convergence of digital assets and traditional finance.
